Multistate Professional Responsibility Exam (MPRE)
The MPRE is assembled and administered by ACT, Inc. on behalf of the National Conference of Bar Examiners. The test’s purpose is to measure the examinee’s knowledge and understanding of established standards related to a lawyer’s professional conduct. The MPRE is required for admission to the bars of all but three US jurisdictions.
The MPRE consists of sixty multiple-choice questions to be answered in a two-hour and five minute time period. The test is in paper-and-pencil (not computerized) format.
The exam is administered three times per year at established test centers across the country. NOTE: University of Colorado at Boulder usually participates in two of these administrations.
The MPRE is offered in March and August. Please see this link for specific times and dates.
Test taker reporting time is 9:00a.m. on each date.
