CU-Boulder Testing Services

Testing Services in a nutshell:
This office exists primarily to administer academic tests for admission and exemption purposes, plus some professional certification exams. These tests include national standardized and CU institutional tests, such as GRE, TOEFL, SAT, CLEP, foreign language proficiency tests, etc. Some are offered in computer-based format only; others are paper-based only. Also available are private test proctoring services for these taking distance education classes.

We do not provide the following:

• Psychological or personality tests / Career Assessments (e.g. Myers-Briggs, Do What You Are, Birkman Direct, and Strong Interest Inventory)
• Disability diagnostics (Contact Disability Services.)
• Advanced Placement tests (See College Board web site.)
• Test preparation courses

TOEFL iBT Test of English as Foreign Language (internet-based)

Undergraduate Admission Tests administered include:
ACT American College Testing Program
SAT Scholastic Aptitude Test
TOEFL iBT Test of English as Foreign Language (internet-based)

Exams for CU course credit or exemption

• Exemptions:
  • Geography, QRMS, and Upper Division Written Communication
  • Undergraduate Foreign Language Tests and Foreign Language Achievement Tests (UFLT and FLATs)

• CLEP (College Level Examination Program)
