Volunteer Abroad

There are many international volunteer opportunities! Volunteering is often a great way to get your "foot in the country" and a chance to learn more about a particular culture. Some volunteer positions may lead to paid overseas opportunities.

There are "paid" volunteer positions that include room, board, and possibly a small stipend. For some programs, there is an up-front fee for training, placement, and health insurance. If you are interested in volunteering abroad without an up-front fee, Goinglobal and Idealist are two of the best resources to find opportunities. The following sites provide additional resources (note that some are fee-based).
