American Association of University Professors offers information on academic freedom, faculty governance, career issues, tenure, and benefits. American Association of Museums. AAM's mission is to enhance the value of museums to their communities through leadership, advocacy, and service.
Chronicle of Higher Education Discussion Forum provides a dialogue on job seeking experiences, balancing work/life, in the classroom, leaving academe, mid-career, administrative careers and working overseas. American Economics Association, AEA Over half of AEA members are academics. About 15% are employed in business and industry, and the remainder largely by federal, state and local government or other not-for-profit organizations.
Humanities and Social Sciences H-Net Discussion Networks connect professors, teachers and students in an egalitarian exchange of ideas and materials. American Anthropological Association, AAA provides information on both academic and non-academic careers.
