Below is a list of all the types of events we organize during the year (typically over 60+ a semester). For specific titles
and event information please login to CSO and click on the Career Events section. Some require
pre-registration, walk-ins are welcome.
When you talk with an employer or another networking contact, giving them a business card can make a great impression. It is easy to
make a business card at home; feel free to use our business card template.

Ace Your Interview
Hear what employer recruiters have to say about what to expect in an interview, how to prepare, and how to respond professionally
and successfully.
Drop-in Resume Critiques with Employers
Stop in to have your resume reviewed by a recruiter so that you're ready to get started on your internship/job search. This event
happens in the UMC before the Fall and Spring Career & Internship Fair.
Linkin' It Up (Social Media Workshop)
In light of our ever changing technological society, the Peer Career Advisors will facilitate an innovative workshop to share
resources and opportunities to market your skills using social media. The workshop will focus on the primary social media tools
and how to incorporate a professional edge when using these sites. In this workshop, you'll learn about best practices when
using Facebook, Twitter, blogs, and personal/professional websites enhance your job search. Additionally, you'll learn how to
use LinkedIn to expand your network, find interesting opportunities, and prepare for interviews. Linkin'it up is a great way to
keep up with new digital media and learn how to adequately market your skills and experience in a professional manner!

Learn how to write a resume and leave with a great start on your own.

Every year, Career Services coordinates several career and internship fairs and events to connect students and employers. This is
your opportunity to gather information about fields of interest and specific organizations, build your network of contacts,
explore internship possibilities, and learn about post-graduate career opportunities. A majority of organizations at the fairs

Career Services coordinates several career panels throughout the year to educate students about career opportunities in various
fields / majors: Advertising, Marketing, Public Relations, Event Planning, Economics, Chemistry & Biochemistry, Sports Industry,
Writing, etc. The panelists that serve on these panels are professionals in the community, many of them alumni, who are excited
about sharing their experience, wisdom and advice with current students who are exploring their various career options.

2011-2012 events include: Networking For Your Future (Jan. 24, 2012) - This event has been cancelled, Networking - NOT Working? (Feb. 28, 2012), Technology, Arts and
Media Networking (Mar. 14, 2012); Annual Networking Night (Oct. 2011), Diverse Buffs Mixer (Nov. 2011).
This is a great opportunity to meet with professionals working in fields where you can use your major. This is an informal way to
learn about a variety of careers. Bring several contact cards with your name and contact information. NO EXPERIENCE NECESSARY!

On-Campus Interviewing (+more...)
Each semester (excluding summer) companies from all over the country come to our campus to recruit CU-Boulder students and alumni.
These are arranged by our office, and the interviews are held primarily in the C4C, however, we also arrange interviews that take place in the Leeds Business Career Connections office and in Engineering.
Resumes are collected for each position in our CSO job system.
Be sure to check for the deadlines in CSO, so that you don't miss out on any opportunities. Last year, there were 3008 interviews
conducted of Sophomores, Juniors, Seniors, Masters/PhD students and recent Alumni.
Fall student teachers and other education students who are ready for immediate employment are encouraged to participate in on-campus interviews in December.
Registration is required through CSO.
