Networking Events, Workshops and Panels

Each semester Career Services has Networking Events, Workshops, and Panels that you can volunteer to be part of. This is a great 'free' way for your organization to keep up its name recognition on-campus! Inspire students and alumni to follow in your footsteps! Since these are networking type events, you are asked to bring business cards and be on the lookout for the student who may need to be drawn into a conversation.

Contact Michael.Deragisch@colorado.edu for more information.
At this premier networking event you will be able to view the work of our CU-Boulder students and professionals (most will be in the TAM program). The Technology Arts and Media program prepares students to be ready for tomorrow’s marketplace. Their skills are broad and deep. Participants will have the opportunity to include their work in one of the ongoing presentation loops (audio may be suppressed). You also are asked to bring business cards, and a sample of work to present.

Annual Networking Event

Thursday, March 4, 2010, UMC Aspen Rooms
5:30-7:00 p.m.

The first networking night went so well we have elected to repeat it in the 2010 Spring Semester and invite 200 students. Students will be asked to pre-register, and will be expected to dress in business or business casual attire. The event will run much like a Chamber of Commerce "Business After Hours," or a networking evening at a national conference you may have attended.

Students will be asked to make up business cards, and will be there to LEARN the art of networking. However, we also want to make this a true networking opportunity. Help our students learn the art of networking by giving them some pointers at the event. As business professionals, you have had plenty of networking experience, and know the art of "working a room".

  • Needed: 40-45 business representatives to join us for this event (each company can bring up to 4 representatives)
  • Dress: Business or Business Casual
  • Bring: Plenty of Business Cards
  • Available: Non-alcoholic Bloody Mary's, Margaritas, Tonic drinks, etc. and we will have traditional hors d'oeuvres.

Three Sponsors Needed by November 30th, 2009: As a sponsor for this event your organization's name and logo will be placed on the student website and it will be used in all promotional materials sent to the students. Additionally, your organization's logo will appear on a sign at the entrance to the event. Cost: $500.
Contact Michael.Deragisch@colorado.edu or call 303-492-4123 for more information.
