Networking Events

Each semester Career Services has networking events that you can volunteer to be part of. These are great ways for your organization to maintain name recognition on campus! Inspire students and alumni to follow in your footsteps! Since these are networking-type events, you are asked to bring business cards and be on the lookout for the student who may need to be drawn into a conversation. All majors and class levels are encouraged to attend these events, so you will meet a variety of students! In addition to what is listed below, you may want to check out our volunteering for resume critiques, workshops, or panels page.

Annual Networking Night - Seeking company sponsors

2013 Date TBD; 5:30-7:00pm, Center for Community (C4C), Abrams Lounge
This event runs much like a Chamber of Commerce "Business After Hours," or a networking evening at a national conference you may have attended. Students will be asked to make up business cards, and will be there to LEARN the art of networking. However, we also want to make this a true networking opportunity. We are seeking 45-50 business representatives to join us for this event. Please limit your company registration to two people unless your company is one of our sponsors. Dress for this event is business or business casual attire. Please bring plenty of business cards, and help the students learn the art of networking by giving them some pointers at the event. As business professionals, you have had plenty of networking experience, and know the art of "working a room. We are counting on you to show the students how it is done. Employer Representatives will introduce themselves, so that students will get an idea of who is with what company. Appetizers & beverages will be provided. Fall 2013 Chem & Bio Engineering Research Symposium and Networking Event

HOW TO REGISTER through Career Buffs (for any event above)

1. Please login to Career Buffs (in the left gold bar) found at this webpage: http://careerservices.colorado.edu/employers/employers.aspx
2. To register for this event, use your Career Buffs account, hover your cursor over the tab titled Career Events, Select "search" then select NETWORKING EVENT, and then choose the event you wish to attend.
3. Optional sponsorship is available. This will include your name and logo on all of the promotional items and special recognition during the event. You will be able to provide credit card or check information during the registration process.
