Networking Events

Each semester Career Services has networking events that you can volunteer to be part of. These are great ways for your organization to maintain name recognition on campus! Inspire students and alumni to follow in your footsteps! Since these are networking-type events, you are asked to bring business cards and be on the lookout for the student who may need to be drawn into a conversation. All majors and class levels are encouraged to attend these events, so you will meet a variety of students! Tuesday, January 24, 2012, 5:30 PM - 7:30 PM, Center for Community, Abrams Lounge
Career Services is hosting another networking event that gives you the opportunity to mix and mingle with CU Boulder students in a semi-formal setting. Just bring your business cards, a big smile, comfortable shoes and a willingness to help our students improve their networking skills. Yes, this is a real networking event, but we will give you each a 10-15 second window to introduce yourself. Have a great evening, and go home with the satisfaction that you improved the brand of your organization on the Boulder campus, made many favorable impressions on our students...and it is likely you will have great candidates to follow up with. Students and alumni are sure to find these two hours very valuable and we hope you will too.

Four sponsorships are available at the $500 level for this exclusive event in the CU Alumni Center. Sponsoring organizations may bring up to 8 representatives from their company. Deadline for sponsorship is September 13, 2011. Sponsor logos will appear in all marketing materials, electronic and printed. To sponsor, please select this in the fees portion of your registration. Send eps logos to ro.medina@colorado.edu no later than September 13. All sponsors must be paid in full by this date.

Wednesday, October 26, 5:30-7:00pm, Center for Community, 3rd Floor, J.D. Abrams Lounge
Mix and mingle with CU-Boulder's best and brightest looking to learn networking tips and tricks from seasoned industry professionals. Help them break the ice and work the room, much like one would at a traditional business after-hours event. This is also a great opportunity to look for interns and candidates for career positions. Dress in business or business casual attire for this stand-up catered affair. Please bring plenty of business cards.

Fee to attend: $25.00 for one rep, $45.00 for two reps. Companies may register up to two people.
Please pre-register on CSO (see instructions below). (Registration is suggested and FREE.)

HOW TO REGISTER through CSO (for either event above)

1. Please log into CSO (in the left gold bar) found at this webpage: http://careerservices.colorado.edu/employers/employers.aspx
2. To register for this event, use your CSO account, hover your cursor over the tab titled Career Events, Select "search" then select NETWORKING EVENT, and then choose the event you wish to attend.
3. Optional sponsorship is available. This will include your name and logo on all of the promotional items and special recognition during the event. You will be able to provide credit card or check information during the registration process.
