Career Services and the Alumni Association are committed to providing you with the resources you
need. Whether you're a recent grad, have been recently laid off, are looking to make a career transition or need resources to help you
advance in your career, we have what you are looking for!
To the left, you will find a list of links that will walk you through a step-by-step process to support you in
conducting an effective job search or career transition. And in the black box above, you will find, we've listed additional
resources you may find helpful.
Events and Career Counseling:
- We provide an extensive offering of free monthly career events for alumni on a variety of topics.
- Our services also include live media tools such as recorded webinars, teleclasses, and mini video training
sessions.
- If after reviewing all of the resources, you discover that you need additional assistance, please call the front
desk at 303-492-6541 to schedule an appointment with one of our career counselors. Recent grads can receive free
career counseling up to one year after graduation (does not include graduate students). Alums who are one year or
more out of school are entitled to two free one hour sessions and four additional sessions for $30 each. A total
of six sessions are available to alumni each year (appointment limit does not apply to alums during their first
year out of school).
- We have two alumni career counselors available for phone or in person appointments.

Lea Alvarado

Lea Alvarado develops career programs, special events, as well as provides one-on-one career counseling to alumni,
both locally and across the country. She has over 15 years career development experience in corporate, non-profit,
and university settings as a career counselor, executive recruiter, and staffing manager. Lea has experience working
with adults in transition in both the aerospace and biotechnology industries and also has experience creating
programs and services specifically for alumni. She is a trained coach and has a master's degree in counseling with
a specialization in career development. She enjoys helping people develop strategies that will increase their job
search success. She is especially passionate about helping individuals shift their perspective in a way that
decreases their anxiety and/or improves their confidence and sense of hope with regard to their job search or
career transition.

Donna Lynch, MA

Donna has over 20 years' experience counseling diverse individuals in higher education, government, Fortune 500
corporations, global career management firms and private practice. She brings a strong forward thinking
entrepreneurial orientation having developed career management programs coaching adults at all stages in their
careers. Donna's experience serving on executive teams as HR Director and Employment Manager benefits her clients
by bringing front- line, real world credibility, business acumen and insider expertise to her career counseling.
She brings the philosophy that each of us is gifted with a unique blend of talents, strengths and passions that
are distinctly ours and lead us to best fit and career fulfillment benefitting one and the world of work.

Alumni can meet with a career counselor for six sessions per year. The first two are free and the remaining four are $30 a session.
